Rich's Dock Company was started in 1980. The
original owner was Rich Poole. He moved to the lake
in 1979 with his wife Mona. The company was
incorporated in 1985. A parcel of land was
purchased on the Niangua arm with 8 acres and
600' of shoreline off Lake Road 5-77.
Rich's Dock Company is still at that location in the
Camdenton area. To date we have a 30'x72' shop
and a new work barge that delivers our new docks
around the lake and goes on service repairs for
other new or used docks around the lake. We also
have four out buildings.
Rich's Dock Company has grown to a moderate
size business since 1979. The small crews have
been replaced to large ones.
I, Rick Hollingsworth, have worked for the
company on those crews for nearly 20 years,
moving on to all bidding and being involved in the
management side of the business. In 2004, Doug
Smith, my partner and I purchased the company
upon Richs' retirement.

Our business is large enough to build and service any size dock. We build small single wells to large commercial
docks.
Rich's Dock Company enjoys and excellent reputation for quality, design, workmanship, dependability, and fairness
with our customers.
We build a 12" steel super structure dock. Our docks are completely welded into one piece. We offer a hot dipped
galvanized dock or a dock that is primed with red oxide then painted with acrylic oil enamel. Flotation is 20" & 24" thick
rhino brand encapsulated foam.
All our docks come with 2'x2' steel reinforced concrete decking. Our roof poles are 2 1/2"x 2 1/2" 11 gage.
In 1997 we increased the size of some of the angles in our structure as the lake is getting rougher everywhere. In many
cases we use underwater braces or a 12" purlin.
We use 14 gage 8" and 10" Z purlins on all of our docks. (10" upon request)
